Author Visit

Michael Grant, the author of our current read aloud book, The Magnificent 12 The Call, will be visiting May Watts on Tuesday, September 27th for an hour. We look forward to his visit!

About Me

Mrs. Bennick: Hello Parents and Students, Welcome to Fifth Grade! I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to you. My name is Delissa Bennick and this is my thirteenth year teaching at May Watts and my twenty-first year of teaching overall. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Governor's State University and my Master of Education degree from National-Louis University. I have specializations in curriculum and instruction, social studies, language arts, and psychology. I have two endorsements which include English Language Learning and Gifted Education. My husband and I have lived in Naperville for 22 years. We have three boys who have attended District 204 schools since Kindergarten. Our oldest son is a Junior at the University of Illinois in Champaign where he is majoring in Biology. Our second son is a Junior at Neuqua Valley HS and our youngest son is in 8th grade at Crone Middle School. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning in Fifth Grade! I am very anxious to meet all of your wonderful children and to get to know them on a personal level.
