Language Arts: We will be tying up some loose ends this week in reading/writing/grammar. First, we will be completing an extended response writing on the story, Oceans, that we read last week. We will be discussing answer, examples and interpretation. We will also be completing a Time For Kids this week on Inventions that we did not get to last week. We will continue to do silent reading with reading conferences and we will also be doing some science during this time to continue our research on inventions. We will finish up our grammar study on pronouns this week.
Math Accel: The Unit 3 study guide will be coming home this Tuesday. The Unit 3 test will be the following Monday. We will begin Unit 4 this week which will focus on Rational Number Uses and Operations.
Science: We are doing a couple of different things in science currently. First, we are working on two different kinds of electricity which include static electricity and circuit electricity. We will be doing various activities with these. Also, we are continuing to make some progress building background knowledge on inventions which will lead to us creating our own inventions very soon.
That is it for now! As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please email me.
